“Monday nanaman” is a famous complain I always hear at the back of my head every Sunday evening but what can I do? No matter how much I don’t wanna wake up the next day, I always push that idea at the back of my head every time I see my Student-Teacher uniform and my nameplate.
On this day, my CT’s schedule is from 1 pm to 4:15 pm. She asked me to handle one of the Grade 12 section and have them check their exam papers. I am excited as I think this will be a good way for me to introduce myself for them to know me before my actual teaching began. I didn’t expect however that the students who were present was like half or even one-fourth of the class is present. This week is known as the remedial or completion week for the students so I kinda understand why they were lazy to come to class. So for the students to have a glint of motivation in checking, I told them to write their names for additional points in the future.
As a student, I also feel lazy to come to school if I know that I won’t be doing anything but as a teacher, I felt like this behavior is discouraging me. In the end, I finished the day and I am looking forward for the next.
