As a student, I am very happy when there is a shortened period as it means less time to study and more free time or early time to go home.
However, as a Student Teacher, I found shortened periods tiring and demanding and I’m not enjoying it one bit. On March 10, 2023, I facilitated one section in their practice for PeTa and I facilitated one of the sections for their quiz. In short, as the students are practicing and having their quiz, they want to do it as quick as possible as some of them are participating in the culminating activity later that afternoon. The students wanted to make the quiz be done ASAP and that they didn’t want to review the answers.
One of the sections I facilitated for their practice went so out of control that one of the teachers have to intervene and for the second time, I am the ST. I don’t know why they are not listening to me even if I am speaking so loud and even bang on the table. I think I’m not yet ready for such noise that I actually thought of following my CT’s strategy and buy myself a whistle.
It is also on this day that I went to the college campus to have my exams on CREEd 2 and because I already understood the lesson, all I have to do was to memorize the sequence to make sure I know what to answer. The exam went well and I successfully finished it with a contented feeling because I think I nailed it.
In the end, I felt exhausted from all the walking and standing as during the culminating activity, I am also standing that when I got home, my right foot began to cramp and I realized how it is not the right day to wear a 2-inch heel.
