“In our world, education and technology are in a race.”
January 24, 2023 marks the first day of our prep session or the first episode of the second season of preparation for the teaching internship where the topic of productivity tools was discussed and demonstrated to us by our speaker. Productivity tools are tools that helps an individual to be efficient, flexible and organized.
We were introduced to our guest speaker, Sir Siegfried and as we went on with the lecture, I got a lot of lessons especially on the essential tools for a teacher to be able to make their class more interactive, informative and at the same time, entertaining. I then told myself “indeed, this generation is in a new light”. I grew up in a place where technology and Internet is very limited and I also lived 16 years of my life all without a cellular phone. So as I learn all the tools to be productive, I then began to discover more in my own generation. Because how come I only heard of some today?.
In the end, it is indeed a race between education and technology because as technology advances, the educational system must keep up because there are advances in technology that needs to be learned for the generation to also advance with it.
