“Writing ABC is easy”
The alphabet is not a complicated thing to write because we have been learning it and writing it ever since we started school or even at home. Writing the alphabet is a daily routine for everyone but for a teacher, it is what they are doing almost every hour on a daily basis and writing is needed for teachers to be able to deliver their lessons in a more understandable manner.
On the 23rd of January 2023, we were tasked to write an instructional material on a manila paper with a marker. I am aware that my handwriting is not the best and that it is not a “visual aid” worthy but to be able to improve, I need to face it. As I am writing on the paper, I can’t help but reflect on my improvement over the years. I am not used to writing for an audience on a manila paper or chalkboard so seeing my handwriting enlarged and plastered on the wall is fulfilling but also disappointing because I believe I can do better and I just need to practice more.
In the end, I am contended with my output but I am urged to practice more for the future and of course for the students to be able to read my handwriting. Writing ABCs is easy but knowing how to write them properly is a challenge.
